Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale makes the mistake of turning to look at One, then laughing his ass off. He turns around to go back to actually watching where he's driving, and notices a small animal (which he assumed was a young doe) directly infront of the jeep. "SON OF A BITCH!" The jeep crushes the poor animal (not that Gale would of turned anyway) and rocks the car, nearly throwing some of the passengers out. Gale regans control and laughs nervously. "Eheh..glad we almost made it out of the woods.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Of course they're our enemy also. We told you the training wouldn't be easy. This is where it could truly get deadly."
A few minutes later the Jeep jumps, sending One flying on top of Rose, crushing her. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose screeches a curse in One's ear and tries to push him off, unsuccessfully. She continues to curse him. His weight was suffocating and pushing her painful burns against each other.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena turns and stares blankly at One, then glances at Gale. She would like to tell him to watch the road at least a little, but she wisely chooses to remain silent.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One gets off of Rose and begins to shout at Gale. "You maniac, learn to drive!"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale flips off One and continues to drive, but somewhat more carefully then before. After a few long minutes, he stops the car. "If anyone speaks above a whisper, I'll cut out their tounge."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose, glaring at One, decides it would probably be best to just not say anything at all. She looks around in interest.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
One is getting out of the car when he feels something tugging on his shoulder. He turns around and sees to his great surprise. . . . "Peter?" One tries hard not to be too loud. But in front of him stands an old friend whom he met in his travels a few years ago. He is much shorter than One and looks very odd. His species is all but wiped out, similar to the Abbis. Peter stares up at One and says: "One, there is a problem. I wouldn't have came to you if I hadn't checked everywhere else first. I'm begging you, there is a problem. My mom, she's dying. And you're the only one that knows the cure. I need you to come with me, please. I beg you. I've been searching for days and was in the woods near the castle. I'm glad I finally found you."
One stares into his eyes. "If I weren't a friend, I'd laugh in your face right now. But I know how far you must have travelled and this shows how grave the problem is." One turns and whispers to Gale. "Gale, I have to go. Maybe you don't understand, but this is something I must attend to. I will be back within a few days. Please excuse me." One also says his good byes to Laena and gives a small wave to Rose, but it is very stiff. He finally turns around and walks off with his friend. |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale nods at One, he didn't understand everything he did, but he respected his judgment. He turns to Laena and Rose. "One's leaving us for now. So it's just us three now. Follow me, and like I said, do not talk above a whisper." Gale walks deeper into the forest.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Rose watches One disappear, an odd look on her face. With a barely audiable sigh, she turns to follow Gale into the woods.
((hehe...Into the Woods...)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale reaches the end of the woods and freezes. He holds out a hand, to hault anyone behind him. "Home sweet home...sort of." In a short distance ancient, but well kept buildings reach above the trees. The look abandoned, but Gale knew better.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena walks up, standing next to Gale and observing the apparently "dangerous" city. She arches an eyebrow.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Anyway, as One said, it's an Angel outpost. Inside there's a lake with a building boardering it. That was the lab. Take this," Gale tosses Rose a disk. "and copy everything in the database. Bring it back and DON'T get caught. You're no match for Angels who are trained to fight, which no doubt guard the whole city. Use stealth, because if I hear sirens going off I'm not going in there to save your ass. Have fun." Gale pulls out a ciggerate and lights it.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena smiles, amused by this task, then reaches over to slip the cigarette from Gale's mouth. "You wouldn't want to cut your life short a few thousand years..."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale frowns, but doesn't argue much over the lost ciggerate. "I told you before I don't break down like humans."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You know very well that is beside the point.." Her smile does not fade as she drops the cigarette and smothers it under her foot.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You sound like my mother would." Gale almost reaches for another ciggerate but remembers that's how this started. He forwns again and just puts his hands in his pockets.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Her smile broadens into a grin. "If you want me to be honest, I really just didn't want to have to breathe that wretched smoke those things make."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I get that a lot." Gale looks up at the snow covered trees and sighs. "What day is it, I never keep track anymore."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I've never really concerned myself with the mortal concept of time.. It is just.. eternity for someone like myself.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"So what happens to one who can not die when the world ends?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I'm afraid that I may not be able to find out, should the end of the world come."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"It won't matter. The end will soon be at hand." Gale continues to stare into the sky, almost as if he was in a trance.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Laena seems amused by this. "I had always sensed such an aura about you.. You plan to end the life of this earth, even if it means your own demise... I feel inclined to ask why?"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"The apocolypse is imminent. I've just decieded to jump-start it."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I see.. You're not happy with life, and you wish for everyone else to suffer the way you have.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale scowls. "Don't speak as though you have any idea of what I have lived through!"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She returns his scowl with a soft smile. "It makes no difference what happened already.. Trying to destroy anything that reminds you of it isn't going to help either."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale's clenches his fist. "How would you know?! You don't know anything about this!"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I know nothing of this? Gale, I am hundreds of thousands of years older than you are. I was quite alive and aware of when your race was destroyed." Now her eyes gleam with anger. "I have watched countless men and women fall to the ground dead trying to find and destroy what isn't there! I will not stand and watch the same happen to you!"
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale remains silent for a moment. "My death is inevitable, so I shall die in whatever manner, or persuing whatever goal I choose to. Regardless if it is the right choice or not."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"And you would not suffer for an eternity knowing that your plan failed... I see.." She turns away. "Perhaps I have judged you too quickly, Gale Onarav. My.. my perception of others is off when I am hungry...."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Then that's a mistake you made. Do what you want, I don't care." Gale sits down and stares at the ground, finished the the conversation.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Very well..." She turns away and starts to walk, then suddenly her hand shoots up and a blast of energy shoots from her hand into a tree. A teenage boy falls out and thunks to the ground, his neck snapped. A smirk crosses her lips; it's been at least a few weeks since she's last eaten a good soul.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gale lights a ciggerate and leans against a tree. He glances over at Laena and the corpse of the teen and scoffs. "How boring. No fun killing him that way."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"So says the man who hides the bodies of those he kills in his own closets." She quietly feeds on the boy's soul, then gives the body a proper burial. She turns back to Gale.
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I don't feel so inclined to bury them. Regardless, I find instant death boring."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"So the issue of pain arises again.." She reaches in her pocket and pulls out a bottle of water, which she drinks from. "Generally, predators don't wish for their prey to suffer.. That is why the leopard knows to bite his prey in the throat. We only kill to survive.."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"That makes sense. You're just hunting, I have bloodlust." Gale chuckles to himself and yawns, causing his ciggerate to drop out of his mouth. "Damnit."
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
She walks back towards Gale, and sits down next to him. "This pain you're feeling.. It's almost unbearable, isn't it..?" She takes his hand. "Will you let me help you fight this off?"
